My brother-in-law, a Realtor in Virginia, researched and gave me the names of three agents in this area with excellent reputations. I called all three and spoke with them about our situation and needs. Jayson Sumerix lives in Alma, has an investment in this community, knows the schools and the area. His knowledge of the schools and community is one of the reasons we chose Jayson. He was open and honest about the market and how we would work together, and was welcoming from the first phone call. There was no question he would be an excellent choice for our family and situation. We were going through this entire process from out of state. Jayson was patient, on top of emailing contracts and communicating with us about, and throughout, the processes. When my husband was able to come up to look at houses or attend the inspection, Jayson was flexible with scheduling (as he was when doing FaceTime tours of houses). Jayson would always call or text back when he was available or give a time when he would be available to talk. This is our first time buying a home and Jayson patiently explained everything and took us through the process. We would definitely choose to work with him again and will recommend him to anyone who is looking for an agent.
