I began my real estate business after a successful career in the automotive industry, and I have the benefit of both a technical background and management/leadership experience that I now put to work for my clients. I've lived in SE Michigan all of my life, and I'm familiar with the entire metro Detroit and Ann Arbor areas.
As a licensed Realtor, I have been trained in the Mike Ferry Sales System, and my professional designations include Accredited Buyer Representative, Certified Negotiation Specialist, Certified Distressed Property Expert, and Cartus/Affinity Relocation Specialist. I belong to the National Association of Realtors, The Michigan Association of Realtors, and have been a Major Investor to RPAC. My formal education includes a degree in mechanical engineering from UM - Ann Arbor, as well as a number of management disciplines obtained in my former business career.
I've had the pleasure of being married to my wonderful wife Cheryl since 1973, and we have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. My other interests include flying sailplanes as a private pilot, hiking, backpacking, cooking, model building, and photography.

From the day we vmet him I knew he would get the job done to our satisfaction. The home was priced in the sweet spot for the age and square footage and we had a solid offer (the one we accepted) within two days. The entire process was skillfully handled with only minimal bumps in the road. Jim's patience in explaining the process, paperwork and terms with my 88 year old mother was awesome. She has never had to experience the gyerations of the sale of a home and initially was overwhelmed by the thought of selling.
