I've been a full-time Realtor® with Century 21 Redwood Realty since 2003, and throughout my career, one thing has remained constant: my clients' best interest is at the heart of everything I do. I truly love my job and have a deep passion for real estate, it's a privilege to guide people through such meaningful moments in their lives.
Over the years, I've been honored to be recognized as a consistent top agent with Century 21, earning awards such as the Double Centurion, Centurion, President's Producer, and Quality Service Pinnacle Producer. These recognitions reflect the trust my clients place in me and the results we achieve together.
Before real estate, I worked for the Ritz-Carlton in Pentagon City, where I learned the gold standard of customer service. Later, I spent seven years teaching Spanish at Garfield High School, which instilled in me a lasting desire to share knowledge and help others make confident, informed decisions. Both experiences continue to shape how I work today, blending high-level service with patience, guidance, and thoughtful support every step of the way.
I grew up in Northern Virginia, graduating from Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke. I studied at Calvin University in Michigan, completing two semesters abroad in Spain, before transferring to George Mason University, where I earned both my undergraduate degree in Spanish and a Master's in Education.
Since 1989, I've lived in Prince William County with my husband, Joe, where we've raised our family. Northern Virginia is home, and I'm proud to serve clients across the region-including Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, Prince William, Stafford, Loudoun, and Spotsylvania counties.
When I'm not working, you'll usually find me spending time with my two grown daughters, our cockapoo Guster, and our cat Cody. I also enjoy traveling, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, and staying active through masters rowing.

Seller reviewKristin Burns is amazing!! She was recommended by a neighbor to the property she sold and I'm so happy to have met her! I live in IL but had to sell a family member's condo in VA , which is a job in itself. I spoke with four other realtors over a year or so in preparation for selling this condo but hadn't decided who best to assist with the long distance sale. Once I met Kristin, I immediately felt very comfortable with her experience and knowledge of real estate. It was a pleasure working with Kristin throughout the sale process. She thoroughly explained everything, including her plan to market the condo to get the best deal. She easily coordinated having new appliances delivered as well as found the right contractors to make repairs and get the condo refreshed and ready to sell. The condo looked so beautiful after her updates. Kristin Burns is DEFINITELY a great realtor and you won't be disappointed if you decide to work with her! Highly recommend Kristin!

I've gotten to know her as a friend, watched as she's helped mutual friends buy and sell homes, and subscribed to her social media to see how she conducts business. Along the way, I've always known that at some point my husband and I would also be selling our home and moving out of the NoVa area. So, when it came time for us, I had no doubt about who I wanted to work with. It could only be Kristin. She knows the market very well, does her research to set the right asking price, and clearly loves the marketing and promotion process. Because of Kristin's experience and guidance, we were under contract in four days with an offer $55,000 over asking. We could not have asked for any more and have already recommended Kristin to others looking for a realtor.
