Curt has been in the real estate business for the last 12 years after a 25 year career as successful owner and operator of Top Notch Enterprises a local lumber yard and building materials store. As an owner Curt also was instrumental in residential land development and the building of 100's of homes across 35 years. He has been married to Linda Barr for 50 years and has three grown and married daughters and four grandchildren. In his free time Curt and Linda are deeply involved in Gideons International of Illinois where they currently serve as state wide chaplains. They are also active in church at New Life Bible Church in the Pecatonica/ Winnebago area. Their hobbies include travel across the nation and occasionally internationally. They operate Curt's business with a theme, "We sell homes to and for old friends and those that are about to be."

He went over and above with customer service, i.e. answering questions/concerns promptly, keeping me informed with updates, and offering advice and suggestions are just a few of the many ways he helped me. My home was sold quickly and I was more than pleased with the final sale price. I feel truly blessed to have had Curt and his all of his experience through the process of selling my home. I am a single mother and was apprehensive about the process. He guided me through the process, calmed my nerves, and gave advice that helped me save time and money. I could not have asked for better experience in selling my home and when I am in the buying/selling market again, Curt will be the first one I call.

Buyer reviewCurt was excellent in every category. He was very professional and helped us understand things that we did not understand and he was very knowledgeable about the whole process. There was a hail storm a week before our closing and Curt did an amazing job mediating between ourselves, the seller, and the insurance company in a timely manner that did not push back our closing date. The whole process of buying our first house has truly been a blessing. Curt was an important part in helping us find a home that is perfect for us. We would highly recommend Curt to anyone who is looking to buy or sell their home. We truly appreciate everything Curt has done for us!
