John Bortz of CENTURY 21 Ditton Realty

John Bortz is a true professional. He is dedicated to his client, and is able to move quickly to satisfy the needs of his customers. While I am not in real estate, I understand the complexity of customer service and today's high-expectation customer. I also know that I am a demanding client, typically fast to make decisions and I am willing to press hard to keep processes moving forward. John never missed a beat. He matched my desire to move quickly on all accounts. He showed up every time, on time....down to the minute. He is always available by phone, text and email throughout the entire process and returned every single message and email that I sent. If you are serious about moving through a real estate deal, and you like to get to have all of the "T"'s crossed and "I"'s dotted - John is your guy. While real estate transactions are kind of like getting a root canal, I have to say, now that it is over, I sort of miss interacting with John every day!

I feel very blessed to have had John be the agent on the property sale. Everything went very smooth. John was excellent to work with. Very nice and kind man. He kept me informed of everything that was happening with the property. I spoke with other agents that did not want to list the property, it was not a big enough sale. When I talked with John Bortz he listened to what I had to say about the property and how much $$$ I needed to get for the property. I feel he was honest with me at all times. He was always nice, kind, respectful, persistent, yet showed patience. It took a few years to sell the property. But he stayed with it. I was completely confident that he would eventually sell the property for me. He had a good strategy and eventually it paid off with a sale at almost the full market price. I was extremely pleased with the way John handled everything and his communication to me throughout the listing and sale. Great agent to work with!

When I first met John I wasn't a happy camper. I had had the property listed for over a year with another Ditton agent, (no longer with the office), and was unhappy with the lack of contact, advertising, and signage on the property. I wasn't going to relist the property with Ditton. I met John who calmed me down and listened to my concerns. We had an honest conversation with John understanding my complaint and explaining to me how he would market the property, which included MLS listing with video, and signage at appropriate areas. John explained that it might take a while to sell the property due to the real estate slump, but that he would aggressively market the property. John's friendliness, straight talk and professionalism won me over and I again listed the property with Ditton. John did everything he promised me regarding the aggressive marketing of the property. Great signage, MLS listing with video, and most important he had regular contact with me to keep me advised of the progress. As John said in the beginning, it did take awhile but we closed escrow earlier this month.

I was looking through the local homes for sale magazine and saw John and Cathy's picture on a page of a home I was interested in. My nanny had previously called another agent about another home in the area, but she never called back. John called back and we discussed my search parameters. He sent me a loooong list to look at and it was very difficult to narrow the list because ALL of them met my requirements! I told him he was too good at his job! After looking at 12 properties (in 2 days!!) I choose the one i purchased. John's knowledge of the area and people was so amazing! My sale had some serious challenges and John's patience kept me going when I was ready to give up. The broker he recommended was also a factor in helping this sale come together! I cannot thank you enough John!!! I have already recommended John to a friend from work who is looking in the area. The day AFTER we closed escrow, I had left to head back to Southern California and remembered i had forgotten to turn off the water so the pipes would not freeze and burst. I called John and he stopped by and turned it off for me! He meant it when he said, "Call me any time. Just because the sale is final doesn't mean you can't call me". Amazing!

John was excellent in all matters. He was responsive and timely, was knowledgeable and I would hire him again as a broker without hesitation.

John was there for us every step of the way. His research was extremely thourough so i understood every thing easily. He took everything on himself so that i didnt have to myself and possibly make mistakes. it was a VA sale that could have been nothing but a hardship,in fact the buyers agent didnt know how to handle that type of sale so John took care of things at her end also. if it hadnt been for John Bortz it probably wouldnt have sold to the buyers at all. He is more than just efficient,hes soo knowledgable about the whole process and I will use him again. John Bortzz and his brilliant wife Cathy make a team that cant be beat!! They really are a dream team!
