I had been in contact with Joe Scherer for a number of years. He did an estimate of my home's value some years ago and I'd been getting his helpful email publications for many years. He is knowledgeable about both the local market and real estate in general. When I decided to sell, I knew he was the right realtor to get the job done. The long-distance nature of our interaction presented challenges in terms of timing and communication, but Joe very ably handled every issue and went the extra mile to handle tasks that the homeowner would normally perform. This included meeting workmen at the home and walking around the property checking smoke detectors and opening/closing windows - things I could not physically do from half way across the country. His advice to wait until my tenants had vacated the property before putting the house on the market was spot on. With the house empty and clean, with all minor repairs and upgrades complete, I had an offer on the house for my full asking price within 24 hours of the home being listed for sale. This was due entirely to Joe's intimate knowledge of the local market and his insistence that all reasonable repairs and upgrades be completed prior to listing the house. I recommend Joseph Scherer to anyone seeking a seasoned real estate professional with a strong knowledge of both fundamentals and current trends as well as the local market.
