I've been a full-time Realtor® with Century 21 Redwood Realty since 2003, and throughout my career, one thing has remained constant: my clients' best interest is at the heart of everything I do. I truly love my job and have a deep passion for real estate, it's a privilege to guide people through such meaningful moments in their lives.
Over the years, I've been honored to be recognized as a consistent top agent with Century 21, earning awards such as the Double Centurion, Centurion, President's Producer, and Quality Service Pinnacle Producer. These recognitions reflect the trust my clients place in me and the results we achieve together.
Before real estate, I worked for the Ritz-Carlton in Pentagon City, where I learned the gold standard of customer service. Later, I spent seven years teaching Spanish at Garfield High School, which instilled in me a lasting desire to share knowledge and help others make confident, informed decisions. Both experiences continue to shape how I work today, blending high-level service with patience, guidance, and thoughtful support every step of the way.
I grew up in Northern Virginia, graduating from Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke. I studied at Calvin University in Michigan, completing two semesters abroad in Spain, before transferring to George Mason University, where I earned both my undergraduate degree in Spanish and a Master's in Education.
Since 1989, I've lived in Prince William County with my husband, Joe, where we've raised our family. Northern Virginia is home, and I'm proud to serve clients across the region-including Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, Prince William, Stafford, Loudoun, and Spotsylvania counties.
When I'm not working, you'll usually find me spending time with my two grown daughters, our cockapoo Guster, and our cat Cody. I also enjoy traveling, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, and staying active through masters rowing.

Seller reviewKristin Burns sold my parent's home and helped me buy the home I just sold 11 years ago. My parents home sold in 13 days and she helped me navigate through 5 offers to make a successful offer on a foreclosure at the bottom of the housing market in 2008. So when it was time to sell that home, Kristin was my first and only call. I moved to New York City before my home went on the market, so Kristin and her team stepped in to help with many things small and large since I was not local (i.e. re-installing blinds that were broken by housecleaners, letting in contractors for various inspections/repairs, etc...). I had peace of mind based on my established relationship with Kristin. Once on the market, my home got over 30 showings, 8 offers and was under contract in 4 days. She helped me navigate the home inspection process and subsequent repairs and closed in 30 days. Throughout the process, Kristin was always available, patient and helpful. Our father had been receiving flyers with Kristin Burns information on them for some time, and she was located in the same neighborhood as dad. We reached out to her and immediately were impressed with her professionalism, knowledge and how down to earth and genuine she was. As we were located on the west coast, Kristin was able to coordinate other services for us such as inspections, painters and remodel contractors and a chimney service.
