Seller reviewBill has been around in Bemidji for quite some time, and knows the area very well. He was an excellent guide throughout this process. I understand that Bill was not the only agent who showed our house, and would express appreciation for others as well, particularly Robert Scott Pearson, who actually lives next door. To reiterate, our experience with Bill was excellent. He is certainly one of the most knowledgeable real estate agents in the Bemidji area. At a time when sales are moving, though prices are relatively flat, he was able to help us to see a profit from our sale, too, and all with the kind of integrity we would expect toward both us and to our buyer. If you need to get your property sold, Bill's your guy!

Seller reviewBill Oakes provided guidance on staging our home and it sold in less that one week. We could not be happier with the guidance he provided! Bill Oakes is not high pressure but certainly knows all the aspects of buying/selling a home. The knowledge Bill Oakes brought to the table as far as market, staging, processes, etc. was invaluable. I would highly recommend Bill Oakes to anyone who is considering buying or selling property.

Buyer reviewA buyer is always skeptical of a salesman, it is human nature. There are ways a salesman tries to establish a relationship with a potential buyer...some of which are very predictable and obvious. Some salesmen actually project commission dollar signs in their words and actions. Bill is not that type of person...he is a salesman but it is very apparent that he cares about his buyers and sellers...you can feel that almost immediately. He is open...friendly...knowledgeable... and patient. I could go on and on about individual instances, but refrain from that since individual instances are not as important as simply knowing that Bill will take care of you. He genuinely cares. Your instances will be dealt with in an honest and forthright way. There is not much more one can ask for. Thanks Bill...

Seller reviewI knew Bill Oakes was someone of integrity that I could trust and that he had a great sales record. He was highly recommended to me by others in my church. This property has a natural gas pipeline going through the back yard. I worried that this would make it difficult to sell. Bill's approach was to make the buyer aware of it early on so it wasn't a big surprise/disappointment later. He coached me on removing clutter and pointed out some areas that I needed to make some small improvements. He did a great job with photos that showed my house in the most appealing way. I wanted to move my house quickly. I felt Bill Oakes nailed the asking price. My house had lots of viewings, sold at my asking price and in record time. I liked working with him enough to highly recommend him to a co-worker who was needing to sell her home too. He sold it before they even put it on the market. I would definitely work with Bill Oakes again. It didn't matter to me which realty I worked with. It mattered what realtor I worked with.
