Your Beacon to the American Dream Lighthouse Team Lead Tom Millar and his wife Paula moved to the Northern Virginia area with their four children when he was stationed there in late 1995 with the Air Force. After another 10 years and two back-to-back military assignments, he completed a satisfying career in the United States Air Force retiring with 20 years of service as a Major and Chief Systems Engineer for a large defense communications organization in the area.
Choosing Real Estate Having completed engineering degrees at Arizona State University and Stanford University, Tom was well poised to continue on as a Defense contractor…but there was something missing. He felt God was leading him to something different where he could help people in more tangible ways. Real Estate seemed to be a natural transition, and he began his Real Estate career in early 2004.
Now, after 12 years and closing on over 330 transactions, Tom and The Lighthouse Team has the experience base you need to help you with a listing or a purchase in the Northern Virginia area. Ranked the #17 top producer in the Mid-Atlantic, Tom leads the Lighthouse Team consisting of Bill DePugh (USAF Retired military), Rebecca Ferguson, Kelsi Andrade, Maggie Angell, and Sara Rudolph.
Area Expertise Lighthouse Team Real Estate is very familiar with the Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun County areas, having helped hundreds of buyers and sellers in all three counties. Living in Prince William County and having an office in Fairfax county enhances our exposure to and ability to serve these areas.

Buyer reviewDuncan did more than I expected. While I was excited about the house and the layout and such, Duncan was looking at details of the house, good and bad, things that need attention and such. He really knows what he is doing. Also, while I was outside the US on travel and when an interesting listings popped up, he had offered to go look at them immediately, on my behalf, and he did so and shared videos with me. After putting a contract on the house I bought, he made multiple suggestions as to what to do, where to go to get information and what to look out for, and such. He made the transition super smooth! What a guy! Great, just great.

Seller reviewWow! What else can be said with our experience using Tom Millar as our representation in the sell of our home. Our first experience with Tom is when we purchased a home and Tom was not our agent but was representing the sellers at the time. We noticed how strong he supported the sellers and where very impressed with his style. When we decided to sell and move again we remembered the experience and asked Tom what it might be like if he were to represent us in the sale of our home. From there we really got to know his expertise and he made the entire process so smooth and easy. He did everything for us and even represented us in a temporary rental. I had know idea working with a realtor would be so great! Tom helped us to finalize our house sale well over asking and alleviated us any time we had any concerns. Thanks Tom, You have become a family friend and hope to get to work with you some day in the future!

Seller reviewI have had great experience in the past with the purchase of my last home and my daughters home. Bill is the best that has ever done it. He was always there to answer and explain in detail any questions I may have had. I was not the easiest person to work with but he was took his time to make sure my concerns were met and addressed. Bill has always been very polite, great communication, if he said he was going to do something you can bet your dollar he was going to do it well past your expectations. I will always choose Bill and Century 21. Everything went perfect

Seller reviewI started my real estate hunt with a loan advisor I had previously dealt with. He is in Ohio, and gave me another realtor's name, but he didn't know her. At the same time, a friend of mine referred me to Tom. When I had the first phone conversation with Tom and his team, it was clear to me that they were it. His advice on what to upgrade/fix/replace was spot on. It was a large project overall, but he assured to me that it is worth the investment and that I would get the money back at the end. This made it easier for me to go ahead and take care them all, this indeed worked out. I had multiple offers over asking price within days of listing the house. I seriously don't think the result would have been the same without Tom's advice. Every member of his team was just wonderful. I couldn't be happier with the result.
