Over the years, her passion for helping others has shaped her career, culminating in a proud milestone last year when her grandson—after completing his service in the Coast Guard—purchased his first home in North Idaho, becoming Rita's first “second-generation” client. She is deeply involved in her community, with a history of volunteering as a substitute teacher, hospital aide, and Sunday school teacher in Southern California. In North Idaho, she continues to serve through church activities at St. Pius X and St. Stanislaus and is a former volunteer at the Life Care Center in Coeur d'Alene. A passionate advocate for Alzheimer's research, she has been North Idaho's top fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Association for five consecutive years.
