Larry's professional journey began as an Agriculturalist in Huntertown, Indiana, from 1959 to 1970. He became a 50% owner and operator of Mint Leaf Dairy Farms, increasing sales from $25,000 to $45,000. Larry doubled sales per animal while tripling the size of the herd. His leadership led to the construction of new barns, milking parlor stall system, and feeding systems, resulting in a 23% increase in earnings. From 1960 to 1964, Larry worked at International Harvester in Fort Wayne, Indiana, gaining valuable experience in the heat treat department and assembly line department. In 1970, he joined L & T Inc. in Laotto, Indiana, managing the construction of Heckaman Homes for speculation. While pursuing higher education at Taylor University from 1971 to 1975, Larry earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Religion. He served as a Pastor at Keystone and Blanch Chapel, two United Methodist Churches, tripling Keystone's congregation and initiating the establishment of Campus Life in local schools. From 1976 to 1979, Larry served as the Pastor of Victory Life Temple in Leo, Indiana, establishing a Christian school and managing a real estate project. He purchased 50 acres of land, sold 40 acres for development, and built a school, gymnasium, and worship sanctuary. In the 1980s, Larry ventured into the building industry as a 40% owner and operator at Accent Homes in Fort Wayne, constructing speculative and custom homes. He effectively communicated with homebuyers and oversaw all stages of construction. From 1983 to 1987, Larry worked as a subcontractor in Houston, Texas, specializing in concrete work, framing, remodeling, and home improvement projects. In 1987, he founded Cornerstone Construction & Remodeling Inc. in Churubusco, Indiana, focusing on remodeling and new home construction. Sales increased from $86,000 in 1987 to $1,025,000 by 1997. He also established Camalot Homes Inc. to build homes in the $90,000 to $120,000 range. In 1997, Larry transitioned to radio advertisement sales at WFCV Christian radio while maintaining his part-time pastoral role. He later joined United Media Group, selling Bus Hut advertising. Larry's educational background includes attending Anderson School of Theology and earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Religion from Taylor University. Outside of work, Larry enjoys coaching, weightlifting, walking, gardening, carpentry, golf, softball, basketball, fishing, hunting, and computer-related hobbies.
