Ivy grew up in a small town in Connecticut where she attended the University of Connecticut. After graduating, she moved to Boston to get her Masters degree in education and started teaching in an elementary school in Winthrop. Working part-time in a bar in Brighton, she met her husband, James. Since meeting him they have traveled and lived together in London and Ireland. In 2016 they purchased their first home in Swampscott where they recently welcomed their sons, Niall and Daniel.
