With more than 20 years of experience as a REALTOR®, Tanya serves Southern Maryland and Northern Virginia as a Real Estate Strategist, Military & Senior Advisor. She has built her career by educating her clients, telling them what they need to know - not simply what they want to hear - and providing the strategy and advocacy necessary to help them achieve their goals.
Tanya has a special passion for serving military families and veterans, first-time homebuyers, seniors, relocating families, and homeowners preparing to sell. Whether someone is purchasing a first home, relocating because of military orders, downsizing after decades in the same home, or preparing a property for the market, Tanya believes every client deserves patience, education, honest communication, and a clear plan.
Her commitment to service extends well beyond her clients. Tanya is a Past President of the Southern Maryland Association of REALTORS® (SMAR), a former member of the Maryland REALTORS® Board of Directors, and has served extensively on local and state Legislative and Government Affairs committees. Through that work, she has advocated for issues affecting homeowners, private property rights, the real estate profession, and the communities she serves.
Tanya has also been deeply involved with the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC), serving in leadership, trustee, and committee roles at the local and state levels. Her professional service extends nationally through her involvement as a NAR Broker Liaison, where she contributes to stronger communication and engagement within the REALTOR® community.
Community involvement is equally important to Tanya. Her volunteer and charitable work has included supporting Special Olympics, veterans, military families, and local organizations that strengthen the communities where she lives and works. She believes being a REALTOR® means more than helping someone buy or sell a home - it means investing in people and giving back to the community.
Behind everything Tanya does is her family. She and her husband, John, have three daughters and five grandchildren. Being a wife, mother, and grandmother has shaped the way Tanya approaches her business - with loyalty, compassion, responsibility, and an understanding that every real estate decision affects more than a transaction; it affects a family.
Now with Century 21 Redwood Realty, Tanya is excited to continue building a business centered on relationships, community involvement, professional leadership, and exceptional client advocacy. Her philosophy remains simple:
