If you are looking for a home in Bucks County, PA or Mercer/Hunterdon County, NJ you owe it to yourself to talk to Lee Dickstein. Our search across several communities in PA and NJ lasted nearly a year, and Lee patiently assisted us the entire way. Lee's focus the entire time was on finding the right property. He encouraged us to take our time, was flexible when the ebb and flow of the search pulled us in new directions, and never put one iota of pressure on us to do anything we didn't want to do.
Our search led us to a number of older homes in need of renovation, and Lee's engineering background and experience with rehabs shined at those properties. He helped tremendously in identifying potential issues and served as a valuable sounding board when evaluating the "bones" of properties and scope of potential renovation needs. Lee also recommended a tremendous home inspector ideally suited to older homes and buyers that want more out of their inspection than a cursory walk-through.
When it came time to make an offer Lee and his experience as an appraiser was exactly what we needed. On the objective side, he was very diligent and transparent in showing what the comps and market suggested was a reasonable range. On the other hand, he also ensured we never lost sight of what the property was subjectively worth to us. Lee then carried the ball to a very smooth and painless closing.
If you want someone to just get you into houses and pass numbers back and forth then any agent can do that for you, but you should still call Lee because he's great. If you want someone to bring a wealth of relevant and valuable experience to bear and do it in a way that comforts you during a stressful search for your new home then you should definitely call Lee, because good luck finding someone else like him.
PS - Lee also represented us in the sale of our prior home. He assisted us in setting an aggressive but fair asking price and brought in his photographer who understands how to take pictures that sell a property. As a result, we accepted a full price offer in less than a week and closed with no problems.
