Cyril is a native New Mexican, born here in Silver City. He grew up on the edge of the Navajo Indian Reservation in Thoreau, NM, where his parents started the town’s volunteer fire department. He attended New Mexico State University on a track scholarship, earning a B.S. in Education, and received a master’s degree from the University of Idaho. Cyril was a teacher and coach for 32 years in New Mexico, Texas, Idaho, Oregon, and Ohio, with a reputation as a student-centered, compassionate, and effective motivator.
Cyril loves a challenge and took a leap to become an Ohio real estate agent in 2013. He spent six years in Cleveland, as “The Comeback City" experienced a nationally-profiled economic resurgence, and he was a multi-million-dollar seller each year. He was recently named 2018 National Sales Excellence Winner, awarded to agents who rank in the top 5% nationally in overall sales and listings. After 19 years in the Midwest, Cyril has happily returned to the Southwest, and is reconnecting with extended family in Grant County. He is excited about sharing Silver City’s beauty and charm with clients, and introducing them to our warm, friendly community.
Professionally, Cyril is client-centered, intuitive, creative, and pragmatic. He has a unique ability to see and actualize potential. Personally, he loves his animals, his garden, meditating, and attempting to make pottery. He and his husband Scott also love renovating older houses, including their gorgeous new Silver City home. Their design ideas won several restoration awards in Cleveland.
Cyril has a passion for working with both buyers and sellers, and has worked with clients in over 110 sales in the past 6 years. You’ll appreciate his calm demeanor, his ability to communicate clearly and effectively, and his skill at problem solving while working through details of a real estate transaction.
