Because of my efforts, the participating brokers joined forces to work out an advertising deal with the Chicago Tribune, whereby each office would r eceive Friday display ads as part of a two-page center spread in the real estate section.This is but one example of my leadership successes within the broker council. Century 21 Corporate Relocation Century 21 Commercial Investment Network (CIN) Womens Council of Realtors CAR Board of Directors:Directs the course of the third-largest real estate board in the United States as well as participating in RPAC fundraising. In 2002, recruited 2 members of Golden R, and is a part of defending the interests of Realtors® across th e country. Vice Chairman-CAR International Committee:In 2002 represented CAR and its interests in the international community. This included arranging for a trip to Thailand so that Chicago Realtors® could experience the Asian culture, exchange real estate informa tion between Eastern and Western cultures by arranging a seminar between Thai Association of Realtor and CAR in Thailand. In 2003 traveled to Minneapolis/St Paul region with NAR Presidents Liaison of Thailand to organize the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors which acts as ambassador to Thailand in real estate matters. Attendees learned how immigrants have contributed to the explosion of household ownership in the United States in recent years. Also, how and why foreign investment in the United States has increased exponentially over the last few years as investors capitalize on the stable U.S. real estate market. Realtors and the National Association of Realtors (NAR). The program runs from July 26 through August 1, 2004. Attendees will additionally be able to obtain the prestigious CIPS designation (Certified International Property Specialist) at the seminar. A recent NAR study revealed that Realtors® who earn the CIPS designation increase their business by at least twenty percent. Chairman of the Chicago International Real Estate Council in 2003/2004Organized an international transaction forum targeting the real estate trends in Eastern Europe and Western Europe. Both forums were very informative and a huge success.Currently inc harge of the Eastern region of the United States and coordinating a seminar in Thailand on the Essentials of International Real Estate, along with NAR Presidents Liaison from the West Coast. This seminar is a joint effort between the Thai Association of CAR Speaker - April 2005Invited to the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Association of Realtors and MLS Gateway.com to be one of the speakers of the "Explore the Global Matrix" 2005 International Business Conference CAR International Expo - Advisory Committee - October 2005 CAR Diversity CommitteePromotes the diversity of the real estate market and Realtor® community in Chicago. FIABCI (International Real Estate Federation):This organization facilitates the communication and networking of real estate professionals from 57 countries around the world. I attended my first FIABCI conference in May of 2002, when it took place in Ku ala Lumpur, Malaysia and have been very actively involved ever since. Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS):This designation represents extensive experience in international real estate, including training and international transactions. Currently maintains has several listings in Thailand, and routinely work s with clients of varied nationalities. Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers (CRB):The CRB-designated manager has many years of experience in Broker Management, and has been trained in the latest methods for successfully managing a real estate firm.
