Andy was recommended to me by a friend who knew I was interested in a 203K home renovation. It's a fairly complex process with a lot of red tape and many steps that I, as a first-time homebuyer, was unfamiliar with; Andy, on the other hand, recently purchased his own home through this process, so he was absolutely invaluable in guiding us through the web of paperwork and various contractors/inspectors/consultants required.
Andy listened to our goals and our wish list for what we hope will be a forever home, showing us properties that almost always managed to surprise us in some way. And when we found a house that we really liked but waffled on whether it would make a good purchase, he was able to put his finger on the fact that -- even though we didn't realize it ourselves -- we wanted to be in a specific neighborhood more than we wanted A,B, and C in the house itself.
We looked at a number of properties, and since we were most interested in distressed or foreclosed homes, these weren't Big Commission opportunities. I worked with a couple of agents before meeting Andy, and they kept steering me back toward more turnkey homes, or showed impatience through the decision-making process. Andy never balked at being asked to show another house, and he never tried upselling to a higher purchase-price home for his own gain.
I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Andy to anyone looking for a renovation property, or a conventional home purchase!...
