Tammy Dyer, maiden Tammy Selvey, was born and raised in Myrtle Beach, and is a 3 rd generation native.
Tammy grew up working in her parents’ restaurant “Grandma’s Kitchen” on 17 Business, so she knows where Myrtle Beach has been, where it is , and where it is going. Tammy and her husband, Mark, moved to Las Vegas in 2000 and owned and operated the NASCAR Café location at the Sahara Hotel. Then they moved to Charlotte in 2003, as Mark joined the executive team at NASCAR and Tammy started a business, D Designs, making designer outfits for competitors in the horse show world.
Tammy has long been a horse enthusiast, having won multiple championships in America Quarter Horse Association events and where, daughter Sharnai, also a Myrtle Beach native, followed in her footsteps. Sharnai is a graduate of SMU, Wake Forest M.B.A and just graduated from St. Mathews Veterinary School. She is now practicing at the Peterson Smith Clinic in Ocala, FL.
Tammy and Mark have owned and operated the Taymar Ranch in Pilot Point, TX, where Tammy’s “D Designs” business was located and remains. More recently, Mark started a college sports ticket sales and sponsorship management company, Taymar Sales U. (Taymar, as you might guess, comes from Tammy and Mark!)
