Currently owns and operates the following businesses - Land Development, Construction Company, Real Estate Company that includes Residential Sales and Property Management. Holdings Various types of Real Estate - single residence rentals, apartment units, commercial and office buildings, commercial lots, farm ground, development acreage and real estate contracts, movie theatre and storage units. He has developed over 22 subdivisions ranging from 5 to 154 lots mostly in Cache and Weber Counties. Active in Professional, Civic and Church organizations. Served on Advisory Board for local banks; Member of National Association of Review Appraisers. Member of Land Use Committee of National Board of Realtors. Past President of Logan Board of Realtors and Logan Lions Club and Northern Utah Home Builders Association. Served two terms as Chairman of Utah Power and Light Consumer Advisory Board; Member of Dean's Advisory Council at USU, College of Business. On two occasions, served as Bishop and Member of Stake Presidency in his Church. Was recognized by Local Jaycees as an Outstanding Young Man of America. In 1986, USU Alumni Association and College of Business recognized him with their professional Achievement Award. Has done Appraising with practiced General Real Estate for thirty years. Been a Real Estate Broker for 37 years. Currently serving as SCORE Counselor, Member of Utah Coalition for Utah's Future committee, Member of USU Community Issues Committee, Member of Apartment Association Committee, Board of Directors for Utah Home Builders Association and Membership Chairman of Northern Utah Home Builders Association. NIXON & NIXON, INC - is a diversified Corporation, owned and operated by E. J. (Jack) Nixon, Jr. It was formed in 1965 with E. J. Nixon as President (since has passed away) and E. J. Nixon, Jr. and Vice President. Nixon & Nixon, Inc. Deals in all aspects of Real Estate - Subdivides and develops land; single family detached houses built by the company number into the hundreds. Many years the company has averaged over 50 homes per year. The company does their own finance acquisition, developing, sales and construction. Class of homes range from entry level to second or third move up. The company also does multi housing and light commercial work. They recently did a 154 unit PUD in Ogden City which received national recognition by HUD for Affordable Housing. Currently have six active subdivisions.
