I have lived in the Washington area practically my entire life and never tire of seeing the monuments as I approach the city from Virginia which has been my home since 1975. I started my real estate career in new homes which gave me lots of training in all aspects of real estate, from the ground up. I have been working full time ever since and got my associate broker's license in 1988 and keep learning something new with every transaction. I also have the SRES designation, Senior Real Estate Specialist which means I am ready willing and able to help all those ready to update, downsize and move on! I have managed entire renovation projects for my sellers with great success. This is where my training in interior design leads the way. I have naturally added pre-listing consulting as well as staging into my practice. My goal is to optimize the home's potential so that it will shine when it is presented as a new listing. Lilyan came to our home fully prepared to inspect it and to make suggestions that she felt were necessary to get the best price. She made us feel that we had a valuable property. After presenting comparable sin the area, she suggested a price, which was lower that what we had hoped for and in the end she was right. We listed for slightly higher and consequently it took longer to sell and required two price reductions. Lilyan arranged for an excellent photographer/ video maker for the online advertising and the brochure! It was an excellent decision. Staging was an extra bonus that put some well- chosen extra in our home to make it more polished and fun. She respected our decision not to have any open houses, except for the brokers open house. I learned how important that open house was because it provided professional feedback and exposure to the very people who will be showing your home to buyers. She kept in close contact with us, letting us know what sold in our market, new listing and prompt feedback from buyers who had visited our home. Further, she proved her knowledge of the market, the laws, and the negotiation and settlement process. She protected our interest when the buyers were asking for things to which they were not entitled. I never worried or hesitated for a minute in taking her advice and trusting her with the sale of our home.
I do not plan to ever move again but if I were, I would want her as my agent for a third time. Lilyan not only sold our second home, she also sold our first one! I would recommend her without hesitation!
