With a background in real estate investing, business education, and urban and land economics, Jack Pokorney brings together real-world experience and formal education to help his clients navigate the real estate market with confidence. As a Beloit resident and investor, Jack has a long-standing passion for real estate and a strong interest in contributing to the continued growth and success of the communities he calls home.
Jack earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin?Madison, where he studied Urban and Land Economics and Risk Management and Insurance, and later earned a master's degree in Business Education from the University of Wisconsin?Whitewater. His academic background has given him a strong foundation in real estate, finance, risk management, and business?knowledge he now puts to work for his clients.
Jack is also an active real estate investor, giving him firsthand experience evaluating properties, navigating financing, managing rental property, and thinking about real estate from both a personal and investment perspective. This experience allows him to understand that a property can represent something very different to every client?whether it is a first home, an investment, or a major financial decision.
Before entering real estate, Jack spent five years as a Business Educator at local high schools, teaching students about personal finance, business, management, and other real-world financial concepts. His experience as an educator shaped the way he works with people: listen first, communicate clearly, and make complex information easier to understand.
Whether helping a first-time homebuyer navigate one of the largest financial decisions of their life, assisting a seller in maximizing the value of their property, or working with an investor evaluating their next opportunity, Jack takes the time to understand his clients' goals and works diligently to help them make informed decisions throughout the process.
