I graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Education, a Master's degree from Troy University, and an Administrative degree from Auburn University Montgomery. After 25 years as a teacher, administrator, and Principal, I retired just long enough to study and acquire a Real Estate license. My reasoning for choosing Real Estate as a second career was to fulfill a love for interior, landscape, and architectural design. I realized that I could combine my design passion with Real Estate and be effective in the Real Estate profession. I believe my calling in life is to educate and to combine that calling with my passion for interior decorating, landscaping, and architectural design, I can effectively help others make the best choices in choosing or selling their home. With education as my lifetime experience and Real Estate as my present profession, my motto states: "Let Bert do your homework and you'll get it right!"

Buyer reviewBert Owens is a real estate agent. But there are attributes that separate Bert from majority of agents that you can find them everywhere. These attributes are: Honesty, Ethics, Trustworthiness, Dedication, Professionalism, Persistence, Friendliness and Care. She is a former educator (school teacher and principal), which we know caring is inherent with that profession. That is why she cares about her client needs more that her own interest. In my pursuit of purchasing a home, she demonstrated all of the above attributes until the job was done and done right. I highly recommend Bert Owens as your agent in your next real estate venture. Seller reviewThere are a lot of very good agents, but I haven't met one as genuine or as nice as Bert. She is honest with you from the beginning to the end. She tells you her professional opinion but in a way that makes it easy for a seller to hear. She operates in the best interest of her client, even if it cost her. She also had the patience of Job in dealing with Cartus. She is a diamond that your agency is fortunate to have. We will absolutely use her again. She's the one all your aspiring agent should be modeled after. She understands the business, has the soft skills to handle clients in a polite and professional manner and has to be the best dressed agent walking the streets.
