I've been a full-time Realtor® with Century 21 Redwood Realty since 2003, and throughout my career, one thing has remained constant: my clients' best interest is at the heart of everything I do. I truly love my job and have a deep passion for real estate, it's a privilege to guide people through such meaningful moments in their lives.
Over the years, I've been honored to be recognized as a consistent top agent with Century 21, earning awards such as the Double Centurion, Centurion, President's Producer, and Quality Service Pinnacle Producer. These recognitions reflect the trust my clients place in me and the results we achieve together.
Before real estate, I worked for the Ritz-Carlton in Pentagon City, where I learned the gold standard of customer service. Later, I spent seven years teaching Spanish at Garfield High School, which instilled in me a lasting desire to share knowledge and help others make confident, informed decisions. Both experiences continue to shape how I work today, blending high-level service with patience, guidance, and thoughtful support every step of the way.
I grew up in Northern Virginia, graduating from Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke. I studied at Calvin University in Michigan, completing two semesters abroad in Spain, before transferring to George Mason University, where I earned both my undergraduate degree in Spanish and a Master's in Education.
Since 1989, I've lived in Prince William County with my husband, Joe, where we've raised our family. Northern Virginia is home, and I'm proud to serve clients across the region-including Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, Prince William, Stafford, Loudoun, and Spotsylvania counties.
When I'm not working, you'll usually find me spending time with my two grown daughters, our cockapoo Guster, and our cat Cody. I also enjoy traveling, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, and staying active through masters rowing.

Buyer reviewWe were leaving a home we had enjoyed for 18 years, due to health concerns. We were not sure that we were going to be able to find another home we could like as much, but with Kristin's help and positive attitude as well as encouragement, we are now living in a home we love even more! We contacted Kristin to "see if there were properties that might fit our needs". We were not even certain that we were ready to move. Kristin was more than willing to send us information on properties for sale and did not hesitate to take us to look at representative homes for sale that might meet our needs. We had certain neighborhoods in mind and Kristin was able to send us several listings in those areas as well as others she felt might work for us. We found a home we love the first day we went looking. Put our home up for sale and made an offer on the home we eventually purchased. Kristin never hesitated to show us homes even though we weren't even certain we were ready to move. Another testimony to her professionalism and willingness to meet the needs of her clients whether they are ready to purchase or not. Kristin is a true professional. She is ethical, honest, hard working and friendly. She listens, is able to calm the nerves of anxious purchasers, and truly cares about what is best for all parties in the transaction. I would not hesitate to recommend Kristin to friends and family.

Seller reviewKristin Burns is the consummate professional Real Estate Professional. She has established relationships with a support staff, stager, painter, carpet companies, general contractors and more, that made preparing our home for sale much less difficult than if we had to seek these contractors our ourselves. Kristin used the most professional people to photograph our home, posted many pictures and videos on the net, and did her utmost to insure that our unique home got the most exposure possible. Kristin was extremely aggressive in marketing our property. She engaged photographers who were able to take Drone shots of our home which sits on a 1/2 acre treed lot backing to a lake, with dock, Pontoon boat, beach, patios, screened porch and more. She had to fore site to see the uniqueness of our home and setting and immediately chose to do her very best to have professional photos, post cards and flyers, to present our older home in the best light. She has a very strong web presence and made sure to maximize the exposure of our home on the web. We feel this critical in todays market. As we have mentioned, Kristin is extremely professional, ethical and dedicated to her clients. We would absolutely recommend her to our friends and family seeking to sell or purchase a home.

Seller reviewTo sell your house quickly and for top dollar requires only 2 steps: 1 hire an outstanding realtor 2 follow the advice of that realtor Kristin is, by far, the best realtor we have ever dealt with. Our house sold in less than a week for the full asking price. The settlement went through without any complications. My deepest thanks go out to Kristin Burns and all she did for us.

Buyer reviewI am always trying to refer friends and associates to Kristin. She knows the market, and she is realistic about what will sell/not sell/what is a sound price, etc. And she isn't like some realtors who just talk about appearances, she knows about home systems and structure, which is WAY more important than appearance.

When we met with her she was knowledgeable and was willing to tell us the truth about what we could expect from her and the market. The house sold in less than 5 days -- and we had 2 offers.
