A secluded forest setting overlooking two beech-tree-lined creeks, with opportunities for hunting, observing wildlife, or just the enjoyment of an uncommonly open woodland understory that is easy to traverse on foot. The land has interesting topography with the mix of uplands and creek bottom. The sandy loam and fine sand soils offer excellent drainage as well as providing good fertility and a favorable site for a mixed forest of white and red oaks, magnolias, beech and pine. Once part of a large timber company holding, the loblolly pine plantations were established in the late 1990s, while the bottomland had some pine interplanted.
