Allan Shaffer
Allan is a graduate of the University of Washington, Seattle with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Ski Resort Planning with a focus on Urban Planning and Landscape Architecture. Allan also attended the Wright Ingraham Institute directed by Elizebeth Wright Ingraham (a granddaughter of Frank Loyd Wright) where he trained in interdisciplinary thinking. This concept brings together experts from different sciences and disciplines to synthesize creative thinking to create new patterns, needs, and ideas. He worked on studies for Mt. Spokane Ski Area, JBK Developers in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. Allan worked for Landhope Farm Stores to locate new sites for new convenience store locations by doing traffic analysis, circulation, visual and regional area studies. He also made a comprehensive townhouse development plan, in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. This project combined site planning, visual analysis, architectural concepts, market studies, construction costs and economic feasibility studies. This project was done in collaboration with Carol and Ian Mcharg, renowned Landscape Architects. Ian Mcharg is considered the Father of Regional Planning authored the book “Design with Nature”. Allan also worked on an equestrian farm design concept site plan in Woody Creek, Colorado with architects from Aspen, Colorado. He also has experience in the oil and gas industry, working with investor relations, putting together presentations, collaborating with geologists, geophysicists and reservoir engineers to market new prospective oil and gas wells to be drilled. Allan is excited to use his interdisciplinary background and experience to sell Real Estate projects and property working with Century 21J. Carter & Company in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
