Personal Profile

My name is Danielle Rivas, I am from Mexico. I am happily married and the proud mother of a 22 and 32-year-old boy. I am the oldest of 3. I studied business administration in the University of Queretaro. I started working at the age of 14 at the office of Birth records for the State of Queretaro and for the Mexican Federal Government for many years until I decided to follow my dreams 34 years ago and migrated to the United States of America. I first arrived in Denver Colorado where I spent a few years doing odd jobs until I moved to Houston Texas. When I arrived in Houston, I picked up more odd jobs and spent many hours practicing the English Language. My accent was heavy and there was a lot to learn but I worked hard to learn, speak and understand the language. During that time, I worked cleaned offices, worked long hours, and studied plans for potential new businesses. I took a job as a Banquet Waiter at the Hilton Hotel in Houston. In the 17 years I was there, I worked to get promoted into every position available until I became the Food and Beverage Manager. During that time, I studied to get my Hotel Management Certification at the University of Houston. My position at the Hilton Hotel allowed me to save up enough to proudly bring my sister, my brother, and both of my parents to the United States. I am the sole caretaker for both of my parents. In my heart and my mind, I am passionate about loving God first and serving others then goals for success. With this belief, I knew I needed to help others. Because I understand the life of immigrants and the difficulties they have to overcome, I wanted to help incoming immigrants and new immigrants in any way I could by helping them adapt, educating them, helping to find jobs or just becoming friends with them. 7 years ago, I started volunteering at an organization named AMSIF (Mexican Association Serving and Helping to Integrate Families). I spend time teaching English and helping ladies to prepare to take the exam to become American citizens. I help empower them to become independent and assist in preparing them for a better future for themselves and their families. As an entrepreneur, I have successfully started small businesses selling makeup and other things. My hardest feat as an entrepreneur was to become a Real Estate agent. I am a Licensed REALTOR in Texas. It was a passion of mine for years and becoming licensed took many hours of study and the barrier to entry was especially difficult when I was not fluent in English. I have been so blessed to help many families to fulfill one of the biggest dreams to become a homeowner in this country. Being a real estate agent is not just about selling houses and making dreams come true. It's about problem-solving, overcoming hurdles, managing your time, managing your clients, and continuous education. My first mentor in the business took off as I was starting my career and left me alone to figure things out. It wasn't very easy to figure these things out. I eventually found and followed that mentor to different places to help me excel in my career. I set goals for myself, learned how to use technology to my benefit, excelled in my business, and surpassed all my goals. In my first full year at a new company, I was named Rookie of the Year over 450 other people. In 2023 I was named Top Producer of the Year and in 2021-2022 I was named Top Producer and recognized multiple times for my efforts in the business. I consider myself a very blessed woman and everything I do is for the Grace of God. I happily work long hours and it doesn't matter the day or the time and was extremely pleased to make a mark in the real estate Industry.
