Debbie Kirkland started First Story Real Estate Company because she saw a need for radical changes in the real estate space. Not only at the customer level, but agent and broker levels. Debbie holds the CRS certification held by the Top 2% of Realtors nationwide. She is a published author in and interviewed by Local, State and National real estate journals. Debbie is an innovator and Leader in the real estate space. Kirkland is 2012 Past-President of the Tallahassee Board of Realtors, and 2014 District 8 Vice President of Florida Realtors and serves on numerous committees within her professional organizations. Kirkland was involved in early movements to address change and innovation in the industry across the Nation, and the State. Kirkland is a mentor to Florida real estate agents, and an educator, teaching social media marketing to agents, and networking with small businesses. Debbie is a Tallahassee native, raised 2 beautiful young women as a single mom and enjoys time with family and friends. On her days off, Debbie might be seen on her Harley, headed to the beach, on traveling excursions or photography trips. Debbie's favorite food is Florida Seafood - particularly the smoked fish dip at Boss Oyster in Apalachicola Her favorite music is Country with a rock a billy twist. Her favorite memory of childhood is dancing with her grandfather to the Victrola music and singing in the car with the 8-Tracks! Her favorite drink is, .. Maker's Mark and Craft Beers Her advice to real estate sellers is: "Get past the emotion, look to the next chapter, but never forget where you came from." Her advice to buyers is: "Do not act like this is reality TV." Her favorite saying is. "Be Intentional."
