Fred Nelson was referred to me by my sister who had used him in an earlier purchase of a home.....but I already had met a few other realtors and at that time was making a final decision. Because I was relocating to another country and knew I would have a sale/closing AFTER I left - I knew this decision was especially important because I was leaving much trust in this person to work with my legal appointees, and I was looking for someone who would assist in a "quick sale," who I could fully trust could carry out the details in a expedient manner, make me feel like a priority and keep me informed of the process, as well as guide me in the right direction based on his experience.

Regardless of the referral, I always research - so I googled his experience thoroughly and was impressed with his experience and his ratings - and as soon as I met him I hired him immediately at our initial meeting/walkthrough.

Fred exceeded all expectations. He offered his experience on how to stage and present....whereas the home had several offers within a week! From that point on he was direct with giving me his expert advice on all offers and negotiations and keeping me and my legal appointees informed. This was my first home sale and I was impatient, so during the process he made me feel like a priority and was patient per my several questions as well as helping guide me in the right direction based on his experience. He did this all without pressure or duress regardless of the quick timeline. There were several instances of the process I could have easily gave up on the offer negotiations (and considered it due to the purchaser requests) - but his experience, direct communication and laid back personality made the process easier to understand/absorb and gave me full trust in him and the process.

Fred turned out to be the perfect blend of experience, knowledge, professional (without being too much so) - and he was direct, informed, concise, communicative, trustworthy, supportive and most importantly, non-rigid and non-pressuring.

Fred exceeded all expectations and made my first home selling experience worthwhile. I would most definitely use Fred's services again when moving back to the U.S.

At a minutes notice, Fred was willing to show us a property even if it was 8pm on a weekday or on a Saturday night. He was incredibly responsive and made us aware of any possible repairs that would potentially be coming across if we were to buy the house. He wasn't just trying to sell us a house to get paid, he always gave us honesty and genuinely wanted us to find a perfect home. If he didn't think it was the perfect fit, he would let us know. As long as Fred is in the real estate business, I will be using him to help me buy/sell any future houses. If you don't use him as your realtor, you are definitely missing out.

Relocating to a new city in a new state is a nerve-wracking proposition. I began my search online, but soon realized that I would professional help. I requested information on various properties through online sites and received canned responses from most agencies. The response from Fred Nelson's team was different. Fred and his team asked all the right questions to emerge as our preferred agent to help us with this move to Indianapolis. His knowledge of the market and understanding of our needs allowed us to trust him and his advice.

Since we are moving from another state, Fred, and his team, handled so much of the details for us. They were in constant contact via phone, text, and email. They were always timely with their responses and we felt like we were a part of a team.

The entire team treated us with great respect, never once making us feel uncomfortable. We spent a lot of time with Fred, and he never once became impatient - always maintaining a great sense of humor and a true interest in our concerns. We could walk into a house and he could tell immediately whether or not we would like it. His knowledge of neighborhoods and construction background were invaluable. As arduous as the hunt was, we always enjoyed our time with Fred.

I've known Fred for several years personally. I had a home up for sale by another realtor about 7 years ago. The previous realtor had our listing for over 14 months and while we had several people come through the house, no one had made an offer. Fred asked that I give him a chance at selling my home so we switched to Century 21 Sheets. Fred asked questions with everyone that went through our home such as, what they liked about it, what they didn't like about it and if they were interested in putting in an offer. When we met with Craig Trimble, he was very helpful in explaining Century 21 Scheetz's role in the sale of our property. He gave us tips that would help market our home. Craig Trimble immediately placed a For Sale sign in our yard and began the process. He noticed many positive characteristics of the home and pointed them out with information placards at the Open House. Craig Trimble is very friendly and easy to talk to -- which helped when we had questions. He is knowledgeable and produced information about our neighborhood market that we were not aware. We had tried selling the house on our own (FSBO) and had the property way overpriced. Craig showed us what houses in our area were worth generally; and, helped us price ours accordingly. The first Open House produced a buyer. Craig Trimble walked through every step of the seller's responsibilities with us; helping us complete all paperwork in a timely manner.

Again, since I was executing a particular real estate strategy, Fred's knowledge of the area wasn't as used as in other cases, but I have talked with him extensively, and he has an excellent understanding of the dynamics in various parts of the city. Since I had worked with Fred in the past, I already was well aware of the expertise that he was bringing to the table.

Again, Fred's ability in getting the deal done to the requirements that you set forth are remarkable. Fred understands that the value that you place on the property is the value of the property, and does an excellent job of getting the other side to see your point of view. When I am looking for property to purchase, I frankly feel that I have a complete competitive advantage in the negotiation process. Furthermore, it's the attention to little details that set Fred apart and help make sure that you end up saving hundreds and thousands during the transaction - I know for a fact that through the course of our relationship, he has saved me well over $12,000, and I can't think of a stronger recommendation than "get the agent who will save you money"!

Fred is very good at many things. His selling style is based in facts, and he knows what to say, and what not to say to prospective buyers. He SELLS the house, rather than SHOWS the house. This is very important to me because selling and showing a house is stressful and time consuming. I have to clean the house both before and after a showing and I do not appreciate agents who just show the house, rather than trying to sell it.

Fred is very even tempered and knows how to diffuse difficult situations. He has a delicate way of dealing with conflict. He uses a phrase, "Let's try a different approach" that I like and will adopt myself.

It was also very nice of Fred to bring a gift bag from Starbucks for me at closing.
