Personal Profile
My family's Western heritage spans six generations, with ancestors who migrated out West in pursuit of prosperity and a better life. Growing up in Belle Fourche, SD, I was immersed in rural culture and gained valuable experience in agricultural work.
Later on, my family moved to the Washington DC area where I owned and managed several successful restaurants and nightclubs, serving prominent clientele from Capitol Hill and the entertainment industry. However, I always felt a strong pull back to my ancestral roots and the natural beauty of the West.
Twelve years ago, I relocated to Sheridan to pursue my passions for hunting, fishing, and enjoying the stunning natural resources of north central Wyoming. I am blessed to have a supportive wife and two children who bring joy to my life.
After working as a supervisor for Sanjel, Inc., an oil and gas services company, I realized that my true calling was in helping people with their real estate needs. My diverse experiences living and working in both rural and urban areas, as well as my international travels in Europe and Asia, have given me a unique perspective and empathy for people from all walks of life.
As a Real Estate Agent with CENTURY 21 BHJ Realty, Inc., partnered with Roger St. Clair in the Steger St. Clair Real Estate Team, I use my natural "people skills" to connect with clients on a personal level and help them achieve their dreams. Seller reviewIf you are trying to sell a home in Sheridan County, my first and only advice would be to call Joe and listen to him. We sold our home in 10 days over the Christmas holiday in large part due to Joe's excellent pictures and presentation of our home and his direction on staging. It takes a little work on the front end but is totally worth it. Joe Steger worked with us to come up with a win-win in the price negotiations and helped handle details throughout the closing process. We moved out of Sheridan before the closing was completed and Joe helped with a few last minute things for us. He really goes above and beyond. I could not recommend him enough to anyone I know in the area looking to sell a home.

Seller reviewAll realtors in town know about real estate; likely any one of them could have sold our house. Though Joe's suggestions on how to show our home to the best advantage, his excellent photography skills, and his understanding of marketing were important factors in selling our home in a couple weeks (at full price!), what sets Joe apart is his commitment to the personal side of the relationship. We were comfortable with Joe from our first meeting. He followed through on commitments, kept us informed, and stayed in touch from listing through closing. He even stopped by on moving day to check on us. I highly recommended Joe Steger, and have done so to two friends who are considering selling their properties.
