Ive been married to my high school sweetheart Craig for over 9 years and we have two children, Hayleigh age 5 and Nolan age 3. My husband and I were taken with her work ethic. Responding immediately when we needed some roof repair to sell .. I couldn't find a roofer who was willing to do job and told Laurie about my problem, within a day Laurie contacted a fellow who came out.. did repairs for a reasonable rate .. After agreeing to do an Open House with Laurie at our home. At last minute I changed my mind and didn't want open house .. Laurie was nonplussed and took my changing "plan" in stride, graciously assuring us it wasn't a problem. She really was, beginning to end, fantastic! I'm not really one who is writes reviews or opinion polls, but I think it's so important when a employee is such an asset. Laurie Callahan is that employee! Laurie Callahan literally saved us from losing our house! During the government shut down, our buyer's funds were frozen as she was using a USDA loan. The seller of our current home was worried and Laurie really helped calm them down and keep them from backing out. She gave us great advice on how to handle the situation on our end and kept us up to date the entire time. We would've been a mess if she wouldn't have helped fight for us! When I had begun looking for a home, a realtor friend of mine referred me to Laurie and gave me her number. I've never bought a house by myself before and it was terrifying, to say the least. December 2018
Laurie asked me what kind of house I was interested in, the area, the price range. We looked at several houses, and I'd be disappointed when they would fall through for one reason or another. Like rejecting my bid, etc. She would encourage me to keep my chin up. We just haven't found "my" house yet.
Meantime, I had filled out paperwork to get approved for a VA loan. We saw a house that I really liked, but it was a little out of my price range. During the negotiations, Laurie was fierce in getting that house for me. And she did! It was amazing.
When I would phone or text or email, Laurie was prompt in replying. If she didn't know the answer, she would find out and get back with me.

Laurie was wonderful to work with trough the whole process, she proved to be very dependable and hard working while always remaining friendly and very professional. She help us get all the Lender documentation in on time or even before it was required, for our VA loan. She was also instrumental in getting our closing on time even though the Lender wanted to postpone it, this saved us and the seller a great deal of Inconvenience.
I cannot say enough about how good our experience was working with Laurie and how great a job she did for us. I will say we plan to work with her again on our other properties and will refer her to anyone in need.

I was impressed with how quickly Laurie responded to my inquiry - and paid attention to the questions I asked, and answered them. So many people are just quick to call you, and that is not always welcome, especially when you're inquiring on multiple properties. She was willing to look a little deeper to get me answers to questions that she didn't have directly, and got back to me quickly. Although I didn't end up pursuing the original home I contacted her about - the next time I found a home I was interested in, I contacted her directly to see if she could help me with it, knowing that she would stay on top of things and be very responsive. :)March 2017
Even though the area I was buying wasn't an area she typically worked in, she was willing to make the drive, and work with the people there to help me out. I appreciated the extra effort.
Its sad to say that unfortunately the bar is not set too high with other realtors I've dealt with, who don't return your calls, don't reply to your emails, texts, etc. And, when they do, don't answer your questions in detail, if at all. Laurie was definitely on top of her game, and was willing to find out the answers when she may not have had them, and she was great about keeping me in the loop along the process of working with the listing agent. And, she did it all with a smile, and kindness...I appreciated it all.
