It was a seamless experience for an out of state, first time Alaska buyer. I was always comfortable, and if there were ever questions Melissa couldn't answer, she immediately put me in contact with someone local who could. Melissa and her agency were wonderful to work with, and I would definitely use them again for any real estate needs.

She made the whole process so easy, I had never sold a property before. It was made so painless I was amazed,totally professional. She conducts herself as she is, very knowledgable about the whole process and how you have to go about it. She is a very nice person, and a pleasure to deal with. Have known Grace Merkes her mother most of my life, that is good enough reference for me. Know the family and they have all worked hard and have been successful.

After briefly making initial contact of interest, Melissa followed up with convenient text messaging, was always responsive, and reached out when necessary. She was interested in meeting our needs and working on our behalf. She was so great for us. We looked at so many places over several months, Melissa put in so many hours, was patient, never pushy, and wrote up an offer that I rescinded prior to issuing to the seller. She remained OUR agent, looking out for our best interest, was a great communicator, and ultimately we closed the deal with the seller thanks to her communication and buyer/seller agent coordination. We are so happy!!! She coordinated throughout the whole closing experience. Without a doubt, Melissa exceeded our expectations on all categories. We lived 4 hours away from the eventual housing purchase and she represented and communicated with us every step of the way. Due to Covid and the remote nature of Alaska, We had very little interaction with any other Century 21 personnel. From inception to closing and beyond. Melissa has been fantastic!!!!!! After closing she still helps us on occasion with local logistical home construction contacts and recommendations for snow removal, locksmiths, freezer maintenance, contractor recommendations and is always so responsive. She is a wonderful agent that has become a trusted family friend that I would recommend to anyone!

I was very pleased with my experience purchasing a home with the help of Melissa Merkes Daugherty and feel that she made process easier despite me being out of state and helped me to understand things more clearly.
