Entering the real estate industry in San Francisco in 1989, Michael soon saw the local market completely upended overnight as a result of the magnitude 6.9 Loma Prieta earthquake that devastated much of the area and caused both owners and prospective buyers to take a step back and reevaluate their options. By the following year, markets stabilized and, in the ensuing years both the Bay Area real estate market and Michael's career thrived. He has specialized in residential property and vacant land. Over the years, Michael has worked in the Commercial and Multi-Family sectors as well as providing project consultation for developers and marketing their condominium conversion projects.

Michael has a deep connection to and love for beauty and serenity that characterize Lake County after visiting for many years and eventually purchasing his first rural acreage in the County in 2007. He continues to invest in acreage, residential and commercial lots, and owns his home in the North Shore community of Lucerne. He has a passion for the recreational opportunities available on the lake, in the surrounding mountains, and throughout the spectacular Mendocino National Forest. Michael is incredibly proud of his adult children: Jack is a student and works in the recovery industry, Lindsay attends University of Arizona and works in education, Katie is a captain and star player on the Tamalpais High School Hawks Soccer team.
