Personal Profile

My goal is to provide my clients the very best service in all aspects of real estate whether I am handling their sale or purchase. I believe in customers for life and being there for my clients throughout our journey to ensure when it comes to listing or buying their next home, that they receive the very best this industry has to offer. My aim is to be at the forefront of property marketing and to provide tailored solutions that fit your individual property and situation to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved.

As a lifetime resident of Central Ohio, from Lewis Center to Canal Winchester, I have served this area in a multitude of ways. I started delivering newspapers for this great area in 1980 while still in grade school. For those that remember Northland Mall, I spent a couple of my High School years working retail there on top of working in customer service. I have owned, shared ownership and currently own a small business in this market that has so much to offer. I cannot picture myself being anywhere else. When I closed my lawn and landscape company in 2002, I transitioned from buying outdoor power equipment to selling it to my peers in the industry. For over 15 years, I had the honor of providing equipment to so many wonderful municipalities, schools, contractors and private homeowners. In 2015, with the future in mind, I took the leap and started my education to become a licensed real estate agent and Realtor in the great State of Ohio. With every new client, I continue to work to bring energy and outside of the box thinking to this market. For over 35 years, I have served Central Ohio in one fashion or another and I believe that my passion for success, attention to detail, ability to listen and my willingness to go above and beyond to exceed expectations make me a great choice to represent you in your journey to buy or sell a home.     My wife and I were from out of state. Originally, we were interested in a lot on which to build. We saw a parcel on Zillow, and I made an inquiry (clicked the "speak with an agent" button), and Mick Groom was the agent that called me (within 10 minutes). The conversation I had with Mick set me at ease within a few minutes. Told my wife about my chat with Mick. The lot we visited ended up being a bust, but we did get to meet Mick face to face. Mick stayed in contact with us occasionally over the next few months. The market slowed to a crawl over the winter, his confidence that the market would improve was what we needed to hear. A few months later, we toured a house that would suit our needs. Our offer fell through to a person who paid cash and waived inspection (estate sale). This ended up to be a blessing. The next house met and exceeded our expectations. Mick answered all of our questions, if not on the spot, then shortly thereafter. He reviewed the "for sale history" and suggested the way to pursue and make an intriguing offer. His suggestions were "very current" in this highly competitive environment, and would have high appeal to the seller. With Mick's guidance, we made an offer which was accepted. He stayed with us and helped us through our bank's red tape. Calm cool and collected. He said he'd "Captain the ship through the rough seas and make us feel comfortable while doing it". He was 100% correct! This is one of those "meant to be" stories. Trust and believe in Mick Groom!!!
