Helping clients and agents navigate their way through the complex environment of foreclosures, short sales and the ever-changing real estate and lending laws is what I thrive on. Being very detailed and compassionate about the process is what it takes to be successful, it is not about having the most awards or the most designations - it is about happy customers! The challenge is keeping your eye on the ball. I feel I can do exactly that! I pride myself on being well educated in my business technically and professionally as well as the many wonderful relationships that come from being a Realtor. On a more personal side I am married, the proud father of two beautiful children and I have a few pets running around. My family is the greatest part of my life! I enjoy the outdoors, sports and maintaining a sizable vegetable garden. I am very fortunate to have come from a loving family that has always supported me with all my endeavors. "

Buyer reviewPete Mergens is a patient, polite and courteous man. I was not looking forward to moving when I met him. I had lived in a rural community all my life and loved it, but because of health and age, I know it was prudent to move. Pete Mergens listened to concerns about one floor living if my health failed. I wanted a green space so I could plant flowers and enough living area to feel comfortable doing sewing and art projects. I looked at several different houses with Pete and my son, We looked for safety, value, construction, price and that - yes - this can work feeling. Until we found the right home. As a first time home buyer, I did not know the procedure or requirements for purchasing a house. Pete explaned the process and walked me the paperwork. He knew the laws, the City ordinances and answered other questions and concerns I had. I felt confident that everything would be completed on schedule and legally.
