I am passionate about placemaking, and believe wholeheartedly that homes are the creative launchpad to what brings us the most joy and makes us the most powerful in our lives. I started my journey in real estate when I became a homeowner at the age of 23, and I've lived in the same home for nearly 20 years. Homeownership has been a steady and exciting journey of building equity toward my family's financial freedom, and my home is an external reflection of who I am. In this home, I raised a family, found rejuvenation and solace; and within these walls, I composed 5 full-length albums of original music with my band, Sarah Grain & the Billions of Stars. My home was and continues to be my springboard to a rich and fulfilling life. From very early on, I knew that the improvement of neighborhoods and communities was going to be my north star. Born and raised in Indianapolis, I attended North Central High School, and at Indiana University I created my own major in Urban Studies and Community Development. I was fascinated by cities and wanted to work in a field where I could help people develop a strong sense of place within their physical environment, as well as strong bonds with their neighbors. After graduation, I began my career at Keep Indianapolis Beautiful (KIB), where I stayed for 8 years and worked as Director of Community Engagement and Volunteers, growing the volunteer-led Adopt-A-Block program by hundreds of volunteers, and partnering with communities across the city to increase their neighborhood's tree canopy through KIB's NeighborWoods program. My years at KIB were paramount to my profession as a realtor, though I didn't know it at the time. Being in charge of neighbor-based volunteer programs around the city brought me into every zip code of Indianapolis, every neighborhood, and offered me an insider view to what contributes to neighborhood change over time, and what brings long-term value to a community. It matters to me to listen deeply to what is most important to my clients and when they have concerns, big or small, I investigate and problem-solve regularly so they feel seen, heard, and informed every step of the way. Sarah went above and beyond as a realtor and found us our dream house! She helped us navigate a stressful situation the day before closing, coordinated all the inspection details and contractor quotes, and even helped us with our energetic toddler throughout the entire process. On the day of closing she lovingly tidied the house and made us feel welcome and supported. We love her and would enthusiastically recommend her!

I am a non-local client moving into the Indianapolis area for work. I reached out to Sarah based on a coworker's suggestion and she was amazing!
Sarah listened to all of my requirements for a new home i.e. fenced-in yard, garage, size and even location. With everything in mind she was able to find a perfect house for me. Out of the list of homes she sent me to review the very 1st house caught my eye. Sarah did a zoom walk-through as I was not in the state and helped me put together an offer that same day.
Sarah was able to help my offer for the home stay competitive among multiple different interested parties and was more than happy to walk me through my choices as a buyer. Even after my offer was in and accepted, Sarah helped me coordinate inspections and repair estimates. She has gone above and beyond for me during this process and I feel lucky to have worked with her.

Sarah Grain is awesome!! With her as my Favorite Realtor we sold my house in Mooresville in 2 days. Then she found the perfect home for me near Garfield Park in the next few days!
She listened to what I wanted, and we looked at over 15 houses, until I decided on this home.
I'm sitting in my living room, totally amazed at what she and I accomplished in a short month.
Sarah goes way over the typical realtor duties. She treated me with gifts, lunch and champagne. Also, many laughs, lots of singing harmony, and wonderful conversations.
