Sue helped my cousin find his dream townhome in Durham in 2019 when he relocated from NJ to NC. He was very impressed with her knowledge, patience and high ethical standards. Sue would stop in to see him when she was in the neighborhood. He became ill and gave her my contact information. When he passed away in 2021, I was left with his home, however I live in Florida. After a year, I decided to sell and contacted Sue. I work for a real estate title company in the Tampa Bay area so I'm familiar with real estate transactions and how they pertain to realtors, buyers, sellers, and financial institutions. Buying and selling properties is very stressful. The fact that I'm out of state created a new set of issues. Sue literally became my right arm. She found competent and reasonable people to do repairs and prepared the home for showings and was personally present, with camera in hand, to show me the progress. Her expertise, suggestions and word are gold! We had some unusual bumps with items left in the home that had to be removed. Again, Sue expertly coordinated the process. It would have been extremely difficult to accomplish all that needed to be done from 700 miles away without her. I received 3 offers within 1 month of listing and smoothly closed a month later over asking price. Whether selling or buying, Sue is the best!

I was concerned that the recent increase in federal interest rates were going to impede a potential sale, so it was on the market in short order. Sue presented me with two offers within 24 hours, and I couldn't have been more pleased. Another similar home in the neighborhood came on the market the very day, and for the very same price. It was still listed as active a month later. Sue collected three very good comparable sales and suggested I price it on the lower side, and that contributed to its short stay on the active market. Her strategy was carefully thought out, and proved perfect. The winning offer was $37,500 over the listed price.
  • Buyer review
Sue Kerata was efficient, respectful, professional and helpful during the entire process of navigating for my first house. I appreciate all the effort she made to make it happen.
  • Buyer review
I was new to the experience of buying a home and felt right at home with Sue. She explained the house purchasing process very clearly which made it easy for me to make informed decisions. She is a true professional and I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting a positive house buying experience.
  • Buyer review
I talked to a few real estate agents before selecting Sue. I loved that she was SO efficient and didn't skimp on the details, plus she was responsive by email, text and phone. That was why I picked her. Sue was beyond patient with me as I worked on a cross-country move to a place I'd never been. She was kind, considerate, and didn't let my west coast time zone cause any communication issues. She's amazing. Buying in a crazy environment is stressful, but Sue made it easy.
  • Seller review
When I listed my house with Sue, I had just moved to a new town and started a new job, so I was already under plenty of stress. Sue not only handled the sale of my home but she also coordinated landscaping improvements, appliance repair, and cleanout, along with staging and sprucing up my place to make it appealing to buyers. Sue made the process as easy as possible... On multiple occasions, she went the extra mile to take care of things, allowing me to focus on the rest of my life. In the end, I made more money on the sale than I expected, with less hassle than I expected. I definitely recommend Sue Kerata if you're looking for someone to sell your home!
