Your Beacon to the American Dream Lighthouse Team Lead Tom Millar and his wife Paula moved to the Northern Virginia area with their four children when he was stationed there in late 1995 with the Air Force. After another 10 years and two back-to-back military assignments, he completed a satisfying career in the United States Air Force retiring with 20 years of service as a Major and Chief Systems Engineer for a large defense communications organization in the area.
Choosing Real Estate Having completed engineering degrees at Arizona State University and Stanford University, Tom was well poised to continue on as a Defense contractor…but there was something missing. He felt God was leading him to something different where he could help people in more tangible ways. Real Estate seemed to be a natural transition, and he began his Real Estate career in early 2004.
Now, after 12 years and closing on over 330 transactions, Tom and The Lighthouse Team has the experience base you need to help you with a listing or a purchase in the Northern Virginia area. Ranked the #17 top producer in the Mid-Atlantic, Tom leads the Lighthouse Team consisting of Bill DePugh (USAF Retired military), Rebecca Ferguson, Kelsi Andrade, Maggie Angell, and Sara Rudolph.
Area Expertise Lighthouse Team Real Estate is very familiar with the Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun County areas, having helped hundreds of buyers and sellers in all three counties. Seller reviewThe plan originally was to sell my house in a year and after a conversation with Mr. Depugh it made sense to speed the gameplan to this year. Through the process, Mr. Depugh educated me on the process and informed me of any changes in the plan. Each time the plan was changed it was for the best. In the end everything worked out and the property was sold +17K of the original asking price. If I were to do it all over again I wouldn't change my decision

Mr. Depugh provided 100% attention when it came to scheduling open houses he would get it done at the drop of a dime. His knowledge of the area and homes was extremely helpful with us selecting homes that were of interest. He's very hands on when it came to any issues we experienced (contracts, repairs that needed to be addressed, etc.). The response time for all issues was immediate which put us at ease.

Seller reviewConsidering we put our house on the market soon after the COVID-19 pandemic hit the whole process made us anxious about potential buyers walking through our home. Tom took every precaution to protect us. He brought shoe covers and his own bottle of hand sanitizer since it was impossible to find any in stores at that time. Tom Millar was always patient, always available to answer our questions and so knowledgeable of the neighborhood and neighborhoods around us. He had an incredible track record of sales within a small radius of our home. We were totally confident in him and his ability to sell the house and look out for our best interest. We always knew we were in good, capable hands. We were under a firm contract on the third day. Well done! Thank you, Tom.
