Your Beacon to the American Dream Lighthouse Team Lead Tom Millar and his wife Paula moved to the Northern Virginia area with their four children when he was stationed there in late 1995 with the Air Force. After another 10 years and two back-to-back military assignments, he completed a satisfying career in the United States Air Force retiring with 20 years of service as a Major and Chief Systems Engineer for a large defense communications organization in the area.
Choosing Real Estate Having completed engineering degrees at Arizona State University and Stanford University, Tom was well poised to continue on as a Defense contractor…but there was something missing. He felt God was leading him to something different where he could help people in more tangible ways. Real Estate seemed to be a natural transition, and he began his Real Estate career in early 2004.
Now, after 12 years and closing on over 330 transactions, Tom and The Lighthouse Team has the experience base you need to help you with a listing or a purchase in the Northern Virginia area. Ranked the #17 top producer in the Mid-Atlantic, Tom leads the Lighthouse Team consisting of Bill DePugh (USAF Retired military), Rebecca Ferguson, Kelsi Andrade, Maggie Angell, and Sara Rudolph.
Area Expertise Lighthouse Team Real Estate is very familiar with the Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun County areas, having helped hundreds of buyers and sellers in all three counties. Living in Prince William County and having an office in Fairfax county enhances our exposure to and ability to serve these areas.

Seller reviewWe met Duncan Ferguson at an open house and he helped connect us with Tom. We had spoken to Tom in the past when we initially considered selling but didn't feel the timing was right. We appreciated that when we decided we were ready to sell our home and on a tight timeline, that he was available and ready to help. Tom is awesome! We are just so grateful for all of the effort that he put into selling our home. We never imagined that our home would sell so quickly or that we would get multiple offers above asking price. The hard work with his advertising and helping us with staging, improvement projects, etc. really helped. We recognize and appreciate all the time he invested, the knowledge he shared, and the fact that he was always available and made sure to check in on us. The process of selling a home is never easy but Tom and team definitely made it stress free and delivered an experience that exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend Tom and the Lighthouse Team!

He assisted us while selling our previous home over 4 years ago and it was an easy choice who our realtor would be for our return to the NOVA area. Being prior service Mr. Depugh understands the nuances of military relocations, he was extremely flexible and went out of his way to accomodate virtual tours and the time difference between our locations. Bill was continually available and answered any and all questions in a professional manner, he also ensured to breakdown any concepts we may not have been knowledgeable on; i.e. septic system operation. He has a wealth of home knowledge and quickly pointed out any areas of concerns prior to offers or inspections, ensuring we were entering a contract with confidence. Bill has also lived in the NOVA area for several years and has many relationships with local contractors ensuring consistent customer service throughout the home buying process.
