"Soooo much homework! Some teachers will specifically tell you to set aside 2 or 3 hrs for their homework (each class) on the weekends. Also, the teachers and students are very set in their ways and are not very open to new/different ideas and opinions (political, societal, functional, etc). If you are too far ahead in a subject, rather than taking dual enrollment courses for credit, you will have to repeat previous courses. Also, if you transfer in after Freshman year, the staff is very unhelpful with the transition."

"As a senior at ElRo, I can now say that I have experienced the up's and down's to this small, traditional high school. At ElRo I have had the opportunity to make amazing friendships and build close relationships with many amazing teachers. The academics are rigorous, but I have no doubt that I will be extremely prepared for college. I do wish the community was more diverse, but with its location on the UES and district 2 priority, this is a challenge that might be above the administration's control. I also have not found that ElRo has too many cliques, which is a very common question for parents to ask during tours."

"Eleanor Roosevelt High School is an amazing place to prepare for the academic workload of college. The teachers are fantastic and truly care about their students and I cannot stress enough how dedicated and loving the administration is. The pressure of homework is intense at ELRO, but I've felt very prepared for college because of it. Eleanor Roosevelt High School could seek to improve their after school activities, particularly their clubs."

"I am currently a Senior at Eleanor Roosevelt High School. The school, though small, does not hold back in providing its students with the best of everything. The faculty is caring and the students are nice to one another."
