"Como may have its problems but every school does and that's what makes the school unique. We students try our hardest to better the school and that has really worked in our favor. I really enjoyed my experience at Como!"

"It wasn't the worse school to have attended. It had AP classes which did help some students get better prepared for college but the average classes didn't do much to help. During my last year of school there, there was plenty of news about Como Park but it only focused on the bad, not actually talking to the students who attended the school. Many of the students I was friends wit agreed that the school wasn't as half as bad as the news made it appear."

"The Saint Paul Public Schools district has pushed a number of unpopular policies, from which Como has not emerged unscathed. Until a major renovation this year, the facilities have been neglected to a greater extent than elsewhere in the district. As elsewhere in the district, the effects of systemic racism are rampant, with accelerated classes almost entirely white in a minority-majority school. Music and language programs are particularly lacking, although the other arts are at least average. However, pluses include passionate teachers at all levels, a model ELL program, a state-class soccer team and sports teams open to all participants, accessible dual enrollment opportunities, and high quality coursework at the higher levels."

"I would like to see better teacher student relations, one of the biggest issues I saw was that teachers and students didn't get along well. The teachers do try their hardest to relate with the students and help them succeed."

"Como Park Senior High School is a very well known school, it is known for students behavior and teachers resignations. As a Senior student, I did not notice how bad Como Park was until a recent incident. I always rooted for my school regardless of what others said about Como and always thought it was a good, well-organized school. It made me feel uncomfortable when teachers were being left on unpay leave, I also felt uncomfortable when the school decided to suspend a white male student who sexually harassed two females. During the same week, an African American was dismissed and suspended for a week after winter break for self-defending himself from a Cacausion female. What I would like to see a change at Como Park, I would like for the AP's, principal, and Saint Paul school district to open their eyes and ears instead of sleeping."
