"I had a lot of wonderful experiences at Zion Lutheran School. I made friends that I think I'll know for a lifetime. I'm grateful for that. The Music Ministry was very special and forced me to sing and perform when I might not have done otherwise. It's a small school with a strict Lutheran emphasis. Sometimes that strictness was hard. Because of it's size and 4 new teachers while I was in Middle School, I don't think I was as prepared as I could have been for High School. Bruce Boehne was the best teacher I had, he had alot of experience, and he cried when I graduated. He really cared about his students. I'm grateful for my days at Zion Luteran School."

"Each of the teachers have different backgrounds, education, teaching experience and personalities. I wish there was a rating system for each teacher because every teacher is so different. The only similarity is that each teacher had a Lutheran College education. Besides that, they were each unique in their teaching styles. While I was at Zion Lutheran School, we had teachers with one to two years of experience AND teachers that had been at the school a long time. The Middle School Science and Algebra teacher had many years of experience. Middle School students were required to do a yearly science project that involved a lot of after school work hours in research and presentation. Those projects taught us how to set goals for getting work done according to a timeline. The projects required reading, research, typing, citing sources and references, classroom presentation and then Science Fair presentation. This teacher also organize a yearly out of stated class trip for his 8th grade class. He taught his class how to prepare for the trip from start to finish. The trip was voted on, and prepared for the entire school year. We planned fund raisers, researched the city and state we going to and did alot of real world preparation for the trip. But, the English/Language Arts and History/Religion teachers were new to teaching. Each of them had just come into teaching from college. Especially in History, it seems like we read and took notes alot. I wish we had seen more films or had guest speakers to make the History lessons more interesting. My Art Teacher was creative and kind. I had a really nice art portfolio by the time I left Zion. My Choir teacher/music minister is VERY talented. We performed alot at the church and I always felt proud of our performances. My computer/technology teacher taught me alot and was very funny. I think that because it's a Lutheran School, the school environment was very strict."

"The teachers are really nice and genuinely care for the students. If a student is having trouble the teacher will help the student and explain things thoroughly. the teachers are quality and bring only their best teaching styles, knowledge, have great interest in the students, help communication skills, and have a consistent grading system."
