To whom it may concern,
Our experience throughout the entire process of buying our first home was absolutely amazing because of the support, encouragement, and optimism shared with us by Rob and Jessica Crump. We were so clueless when we began this adventure, but the knowledge they have and the time they took to explain everything to us helped us to enjoy and understand everything about buying our first home. I wouldn't trade my experience for anything else, and if you're not using Rob and Jessica as your realtor you're doing it wrong! We absolutely loved them and will recommend them to everyone we meet! We already have! If we ever decide to sell/buy again, they will be our first choice! We are beyond grateful and impressed with their compassion and their patience.
Their professionalism is astounding! The ease with which they conducted their duties as realtors made us feel comfortable and confident having them handle it all!
They were kind, quick to respond, and very patient with us! We never felt like we couldn't ask them for clarification on anything! They are wonderful people!

I want to apologize for the length of this review, but I could have written more. I hope this does justice to the positive impact that Rob and Jessica Crump had on our family during such an important time!
In January 2021, we lost my father-in-law (89), leaving my mother-in-law (84 at the time) to clean out and sell their large log cabin house that sits on a hill with a great view of Lake Cd'A. Due to the pandemic and my husband's underlying conditions, the first chance we had to safely fly out to Idaho from Ohio was at the end of June. Due to work obligations, we had barely 10 days total with my mother-in-law, who had already worked her tail off getting rid of things, but the job was nowhere near done.
My first priority was to help my mother-in-law choose a realtor. She had narrowed it down to the Crumps (recommended by her neighbor) and another couple (recommended by her friend), but she could not decide between them. I suggested meeting in person with both couples, thinking that a face-to-face interaction would help us decide. When we met, it was clear that Rob and Jessica were extremely knowledgeable and excited about the property; they were able to verbalize the many positive aspects of it and mentioned things that we hadn't even thought of. Rob and Jessica knew the area well from having been an agent for my mother-in-law's neighbors when they purchased their property, but the Crumps literally took it a step further by actually HIKING the area--and their comments proved their familiarity! However, while they were very excited about my mother-in-law's property, they did not turn a blind eye to some of the challenges that we would face. Their ability to be positive AND honest about the situation was exactly what we needed.
From the moment we met Rob and Jessica, I could tell that they are two very kind and sincere souls. Not only did they take time to thoroughly explain the process of selling, they listened carefully to our concerns. They even said they would be willing to help my mother-in-law take some of her stuff to the donation center or to the dump. They said they enjoyed being able to help clients in extra ways--especially when there was a need such as this. I remember Jessica saying that they are in the business for more than just a paycheck; they enjoy being able to make a difference to people. Given the fact that we could not possibly get the house cleared out before we had to return to Ohio, I was extremely grateful for their offer. Having read other reviews before meeting with Rob and Jessica, I was aware that phrases like "goes above and beyond" are used to describe them, so that helped me take them at their word. I also had confidence because in my teaching and coaching, I am the same way. I go above and beyond for students because I truly care about them as people and I am personally invested in their success as students and athletes. I could see this same attitude in the Crumps--they care about their clients as people, want to help them through what is typically a stressful time, and have their clients' best interest at heart.
We ended up having another meeting to decide on some things before leaving Idaho, and the last thing Jessica said to me as I was going out the door was, "Don't worry. We'll take care of your mom" and she offered a hug instead of a handshake. To this day, I cannot think about that moment without getting a lump in my throat. I had such guilt leaving my mother-in-law, but knowing that Rob and Jessica were there for her, not only as realtors but as people who truly cared about our family, gave me peace that I can't describe in words.
True to their character, Rob and Jessica worked tirelessly to get my mother-in-law's house ready to sell. I said on more than one occasion that if at any point we needed to hire someone or a company to help, we would. We did not want to "take advantage" of them because they were indeed going "above and beyond." Jessica promised that if it got to be too much, they'd let us know. They sent pictures showing the progress they made on the house, how things were going with other aspects of selling, and how my mother-in-law was doing dealing with the reality of saying goodbye to the house she and my father-in-law built together, largely with their own two hands.
In general, Rob and Jessica's communication with us about the status of well, everything, was absolutely excellent. Depending on the situation, they would text, call, or zoom to keep us in the loop. Again, they took time to explain and update along the way.
When a situation arose (about which none of us knew until several days before we were to list the house), Rob and Jessica explained the situation thoroughly--providing pictures and verbal clarifications since we live 2500 miles away--as they presented options to us. They did not give a personal opinion on the matter until I asked point blank, "If this were your mom's house, what would you do?" Their ability to clearly explain the facts without bias but then give a personal opinion when we asked for it was one of the many things I truly appreciated as we were trying to decide how to proceed.
When it came time to discuss offers, the same was true; we were able to "talk things out" and they never made us feel as though we were taking up too much of their time. The house sold in about a week, and we got the price we were hoping for. Knowing that selling was bittersweet for us, following the sale, Rob and Jessica sent us a photo book of the house and property. I cannot express how much having those pictures means to us.
In summary, Rob and Jessica are more than realtors; they are family friends who did indeed take care of my mother-in-law. They are one of our biggest blessings and I honestly don't know what we would have done without them!
