Born and raised in Massachusetts, Rick attended Aeronautics Program in Boston, becoming a federally licensed Air Craft Mechanic in 1984. Shortly thereafter he migrated to California and went to work for United Airlines at the San Francisco International Airport as a Flight Line Mechanic. After 18 years at United Airlines living in San Francisco and Marin County, Rick was drawn to the wilderness and lifestyle of the Mt Shasta area.
In June 2003 Rick, his wife Amy Cooper and their two daughters, Julia and Iyla , moved to Mt. Shasta. Rick joined Buzz and Jennifer Knight & sons and the construction team at TimberWorks as a co-owner. For 10 years he coordinated many of the construction details for large-scale commercial and multi-family residential projects throughout Siskiyou County from start to finish. These projects included work for CalTrans , the US Forest Service, Siskiyou County, Mt. Shasta City, Eskaton and the Hearst Foundation. The Lake Siskiyou Bridge is their most visible project locally as it completed the popular trail around Lake Siskiyou .
After 10 years in construction management, Rick decided to follow his passion and interest in real estate and became a licensed California Real Estate Agent. He joined the team at Century 21 Advantage, mentored by his sister, Nancy Schneider. Rick brings together his knowledge of construction management and the local real estate market, a love for living and recreating in Siskiyou County and his Personal experience owning and management to his real estate business. He is qualified and readily available to assist you with your housing and real estate investment needs.

Saw the for sale sign while visiting the area and called the listing broker (Rick). Normally I do not work with a dual agent as there may be conflicts but in this instance it went well. He did a good job for both parties.
Only reason for the satisfactory item was that he was operating in a dual capacity, this may have been an impediment on price negotiations but it worked out ok
