Gini Pelton, a seasoned real estate agent with CENTURY 21 Northland, brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to the Manistee community. Raised on a historic family farm in Hubbardston, Ionia County, Gini, the oldest of 10 siblings, learned the value of community involvement and volunteerism from her parents. She graduated from Aquinas College and soon began her journey across Michigan with her husband, Scott.
Gini's diverse professional background includes running an FBO at Ionia Airport, working as an accountant for a law firm, managing an H&R Tax office, serving with Social Security, and becoming the first female car salesperson in Michigan. She also owned a retail store in South Haven before relocating to Manistee in 1992, where she and her family settled after Scott opened the Oaks Correctional Facility.
Since moving to Manistee, Gini has been an active community leader. She co-chaired the development of Lighthouse Park and coached for 18 seasons with the MRA, including founding a travel middle school soccer program and coaching t-ball, baseball, and football. Gini's passion for local housing started in 1993 when she became a Housing Specialist with Michigan State Housing. She has continued to serve the housing needs of the Manistee region and joined CENTURY 21 in 2012, earning Top Agent honors every year.
Gini has also held leadership positions, including Vice-President and President of the Mason Oceana Manistee Board of Realtors, and has been honored with numerous community awards: the 2011 Manistee Elks Outstanding Service Award, 2012 Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce Action Award, 2013 Mainstreet/DDA Volunteer of the Year, 2015 Businessperson of the Year, and 2016 Jaycees Community Action Award.
Currently, Gini serves as an ambassador and on the Government Affairs Committee for the Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce, is a Board Member for the Ramsdell Regional Center for the Arts, the Munson Manistee Hospital Foundation, and the Manistee Housing Commission. She is also an active member of the Manistee Lakeside Club.
Gini is known for her passion for travel with her husband, Scott, her love of family and family gatherings, and her promotion of #ManisteethePlacetoBe through live video and social media. Her love for Manistee and her dedication to making it "The Place to Be" are reflected in her ongoing community engagement.
