My husband Joseph and I grew up in Bergen County, New Jersey. We had our first date at the Emerald Point on Greenwood Lake, NY. After minutes of spending time together, we both knew we found our soul mate. Having everything in common, especially the love of Jimmy Buffet (we are both passionate "Parrot Heads") we decided what better place to get married then the Florida Keys. In March of 1999, we hopped on a plane and tied the knot on a sailboat at sunset in Key West with "Changes in Latitude, Changes in Attitude" playing in the background. By far, it was the most memorable experience of our lives! With our careers in the automotive business, me in the Human Resource Department of Ferrari USA in Englwood Cliffs, and Joe as Service Manager of Subaru in Oradell, we were always meeting new people and realized another thing we had in common, we love working with people! We discovered Lake Wallenpaupack one weekend when we were looking for a big Lake to rent a boat and do some real fishing! Our love for the Lake Wallenpaupack was instantaneous! We found a wonderful family who was willing to rent us their lakefront cottage for the whole summer of 1999! Of course, the first thing we did was buy a boat! With the leisure of working compressed work weeks, we headed to the Lake on Thursday nights, went right to our favorite restaurant and then would head back to NJ Monday mornings. We were always so sad to leave the Lake and decided we needed to find our own home. We purchased our dream home on beautiful Paupack Hills Golf Course in Tanglwood Lakes. It became harder and harder to leave the Lake, we decided to make the move and have been here full time since 2001. It was difficult to leave our families, but realized it was just a short drive for them to also enjoy this beautiful area with us when they needed to escape the hustle and bustle of NJ. We have taught our nieces and nephews how to fish the Big Lake! They look forward to coming to see Uncle Joe and Aunt Dina! Joe and I have always loved spending all of our time together so we decided to go into business together, and opened a Gift Shop at the Lake. Very quickly we became known as "Joe and Dee" as we were always together. We, once again, found ourselves meeting wonderful people and making lots of new friends. Many would stop by our store and we would spend time talking about the area. They always asked about the real estate market. One day we thought we should work to get our real estate license and WE could help them find their dream homes. And so we did! Of course, what better way to do it then together! We became Team Hernandez! Or the Joe and Dina Team. We immediately became so busy with the real estate business that we had to give up our gift shop. Joe and I have been MultiMillion Dollar Producers since the first year we decided to become Realtors. People trust us with their largest responsibility! And we take that very seriously. We immediately knew that becoming a Realtor meant more than just selling homes. It's about families and their dreams. Our relationship with our customers and clients is based on trust, knowledge and expertise.
