Gina Swanson and Taylor Hird helped us find and buy our first home. We reached out to Gina after having spent considerable time looking, having made several offers that didn't work out, and having experienced great difficulty in finding the right thing. Gina represented a seller who refurbishes homes we were interested in, so we had hoped she would be a good fit. She quickly introduced us to Taylor on her team, and the two did not disappoint.
Taylor spent a considerable amount of time with us in the evenings going to see homes and helping us figure out what exactly we wanted. Once we had a better idea of what we were truly looking for, the two of them quickly helped us find it. 2021 was a very challenging time to buy a home, so Gina and Taylor sent targeted letters to neighborhoods we had identified and found something that was about to go on the market and that fit what we were looking for perfectly. The sellers had an interest in selling pre-listing, and we loved the home and had an interest in avoiding more bidding wars, waiving appraisals, etc... and what a match. Still can't believe they found our house for us under these market circumstances, and they put in an admirable amount of work and effort to make it happen.
Throughout the negotiation and contracting process, Gina and Taylor spent time with us making sure we understood the process and helped us effectively work through back and forth with the sellers to reach a mutually favorable result for all involved. The team is incredibly patient and caring, and we feel so fortunate to have found them and worked with them.
Gina and Taylor have a deep knowledge of the Des Moines housing market, and both of them put in considerable effort to help our family, something for which we are very grateful. They are both consummate professionals, and we would highly recommend either/both of them. If we ever sell our home, we'll go with them, and have already mentioned them to several friends and will continue to do so.
