Your Beacon to the American Dream Lighthouse Team Lead Tom Millar and his wife Paula moved to the Northern Virginia area with their four children when he was stationed there in late 1995 with the Air Force. After another 10 years and two back-to-back military assignments, he completed a satisfying career in the United States Air Force retiring with 20 years of service as a Major and Chief Systems Engineer for a large defense communications organization in the area.
Choosing Real Estate Having completed engineering degrees at Arizona State University and Stanford University, Tom was well poised to continue on as a Defense contractor…but there was something missing. He felt God was leading him to something different where he could help people in more tangible ways. Real Estate seemed to be a natural transition, and he began his Real Estate career in early 2004.
Now, after 12 years and closing on over 330 transactions, Tom and The Lighthouse Team has the experience base you need to help you with a listing or a purchase in the Northern Virginia area. Ranked the #17 top producer in the Mid-Atlantic, Tom leads the Lighthouse Team consisting of Bill DePugh (USAF Retired military), Rebecca Ferguson, Kelsi Andrade, Maggie Angell, and Sara Rudolph.
Area Expertise Lighthouse Team Real Estate is very familiar with the Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun County areas, having helped hundreds of buyers and sellers in all three counties. Living in Prince William County and having an office in Fairfax county enhances our exposure to and ability to serve these areas.

Seller reviewTom was very helpful, courteous, and knowledable concerning home values and amenities when we first purchased the home. He made my wife and I his first priority. Because of that initial contact we stayed in contact throughout our time of owning the house. When we decided to sell, i wanted a realtor that was familiar with the property and the surrounding area. During the selling process, Tom kept us informed of any issues that came up and offered solutions to solve them which made positive impact on the timeliness of closing on the sale. He was honest and fair in providing market updates and what he thought the property would sell for. He also provided tips on things that we could do to improve the sellability of our house. He is definitely one I would seek out to buy or sell my next property.

Seller reviewAs I live in a different state than where my property was located I was looking for someone who was very experienced. I met with Tom and liked what I learned about him and his company and staff. I rarely would give all excellent ratings to anyone but I felt that Tom went above and beyond my expectations. In particular with helping me deal with what I considered, in some cases, requests from the prospective buyers that were a bit out there.....:) Tom kept me sane and helped me work through the requests. His support was greatly appreciated!!

This elegant gentleman was in front of me asking if we were interested in buying a house. That man was Duncan. He introduced himself, and my husband and I told him that we were talking about buying a house a couple of minutes ago. Duncan gave us all the information we were looking for.
