Your Beacon to the American Dream Lighthouse Team Lead Tom Millar and his wife Paula moved to the Northern Virginia area with their four children when he was stationed there in late 1995 with the Air Force. After another 10 years and two back-to-back military assignments, he completed a satisfying career in the United States Air Force retiring with 20 years of service as a Major and Chief Systems Engineer for a large defense communications organization in the area.
Choosing Real Estate Having completed engineering degrees at Arizona State University and Stanford University, Tom was well poised to continue on as a Defense contractor…but there was something missing. He felt God was leading him to something different where he could help people in more tangible ways. Real Estate seemed to be a natural transition, and he began his Real Estate career in early 2004.
Now, after 12 years and closing on over 330 transactions, Tom and The Lighthouse Team has the experience base you need to help you with a listing or a purchase in the Northern Virginia area. Ranked the #17 top producer in the Mid-Atlantic, Tom leads the Lighthouse Team consisting of Bill DePugh (USAF Retired military), Rebecca Ferguson, Kelsi Andrade, Maggie Angell, and Sara Rudolph.
Area Expertise Lighthouse Team Real Estate is very familiar with the Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun County areas, having helped hundreds of buyers and sellers in all three counties. Seller reviewAs mentioned, Bill's biggest attributes were: - Professionalism - Knowledgeable - Approachable - Trustworthy/Honest Bill Depugh exemplified what we feel an agent should be. Obviously, purchasing or buying a home is a huge financial commitment, but it is also a really emotional one for a family. Bill was sensitive to both aspects and made sure that my family and I were comfortable in our decisions throughout the whole process. We would gladly recommend him to our friends and family.

Buyer reviewWe met Duncan at an open house at the beginning of our home search. His friendly, knowledgeable manner and prompt follow-up led us to contact him as part of our search for a real estate agent. In the first week that we worked with him, Duncan was great about letting us define our home search while being supportive and accessible. He also provided us with a heads-up on a townhouse (which would eventually become our home!) about to hit the market in our area. We were reluctant to make an offer since we had just barely started our home search and the property already had competitive offers. Duncan provided us with several suggestions that made our offer stand out to the seller. Ultimately, we were able to out-maneuver 8 other offers despite having a far less flexible bargaining position! Our offer was accepted because of the Duncan's diligence, craft, and knowledge. We are so grateful to have worked with Duncan and Century 21 New Millennium, and we will recommend him to anyone searching for a home without reservation.

Seller reviewTom was fantastic to work with. He took the time to understand our situation and our goals in selling, and helped guide us in what we needed to do to prepare our house for market. We were able to gather several offers after open house, and close within a week of listing for over full list price. We could not be happier with the outcome working with Tom.

Buyer reviewMy wife and I started renting an apartment in the beginning of 2017, and paying rent did not sit well with me. (I mean, does throwing money sit well with anyone?). However, purchasing a condo for ourselves seemed outside of our financial ability; or so we thought. I reached out to Duncan about our plight, and we started looking at what was available and started going through the loan pre-qualification process. The entire process was laid out plainly, and was easy to follow. He managed to find us a recently renovated condo that was close to my work that we liked, and also negotiated the closing costs to below $1,000, which was incredibly helpful. We ended up purchasing this improved condo for roughly the same monthly cost we were already paying in rent previously. Duncan's ability to walk us through the process helped greatly in managing stress in what is one of the most stress-inducing processes out there, and his negotiations made the purchase financially viable. We moved in this weekend, and our loving our new home. Thanks Duncan!

Having worked closely in the past with Bill during previous employment, I new we could trust that he was going to look out for our interests. Bill's work ethic was excellent in finding both our property to build and helping us select the best builder. He stayed involved through every step and aggressively worked through every possible barrier so that we could get started building our next home. We are definitely having Bill sell our current home once the new home is completed. We are confident that he will provide excellent service then as well.
