The Historic Lenhart Farm — A Legacy Since 1889 Step back in time and experience a rare piece of Oklahoma history. The Lenhart family, one of the area’s most recognized pioneer families, first claimed this land in the historic Land Run of 1889—years before Oklahoma became a state. A. Lenhart operated a grocery store and bar in the once-thriving town of Lockridge. When Lockridge faded from existence in 1922, he salvaged materials from his original buildings and used the tin to construct the outbuildings that still stand proudly on this property today. The schoolhouse located on the property was built in 1913 and moved to its current location in 1922. It served several generations, temporarily housing over the years.
